Taming The Monkey Mind takes into account your lifestyle and provides you with manageable skills, techniques and practices to assist your journey to a more mindful way of living.
So What Can You Expect? We begin each class by exploring various meditation practices, this provides an opportunity to stop, to breathe and settle in. Meditations for home practice are 10, 20 or 30 minutes depending on what is manageable for you.
We explore how to:
Manage stressful situations with integrity
How you can good life decisions that are aligned with your deepest sense of well-being
How to interrupt the patterns of mind and body that cause you distress
Ways to eat and exercise mindfully to nourish your vital health
Being in the moment
Build a healthy relationship with yourself and others
During the body of the class Mindfulness is explored within the context of your everyday activities. Mindful Eating, Mindful Movement, Mindful Communication and more are experienced and explored and and then integrated into your day-to-day routine. A certain portion of the class each week is dedicated to how the practices are working for you between classes...and of course we have some fun along the way!!
