TAMING THE MONKEY MIND This programme is a really great way to bring practical, everyday Mindfulness into your life.
What's makes this programme special is that it is tailored just for you.
Mindfulness practices are designed to be incorporated into your day, in a way that is easy and manageable. Informal Practices such as Mindful Listening, Mindful Eating, Mindful Communication and more are explored, experienced and integrated over the six weeks. You are provided with the option of 10, 20 or 30 minutes, of the various meditation practices, depending on what is appropriate for you.
So what can you expect? The beginning and end of each class is an opportunity for you to just stop…breathe and settle in, as we come into the various meditations. Audio meditations are available for home practice and we now know that with regular Meditation we can actually change the structure of our brain, which, when you think about it, is pretty amazing.
Informal Mindfulness. During the body of the class, we explore and experience our everyday activities through the lens of Mindfulness (which can be very different from the way we usually experience these activities). Each week there are assigned practices to be explored. We can then see how they are working out for you on a daily basis. For it is in the day to day living where most of us find life’s challenges!!!.
People say they find the experience, enlightening, different and calming. They find they learn surprising things about themselves... and of course we have some fun along the way!!

The next programme in the Ananta Yoga Studio takes place on Tuesday evenings from the 12th February to 12th March. 7.30pm to 9pm. Certain practices from the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Programme will be included and the emphasis is on Living Lightly, Reducing Stress, and Being The Best You Now!
