Taming The Monkey Mind takes into account your lifestyle and provides you with manageable skills, techniques and practices to assist your journey to a more mindful way of living.
So What Can You Expect? We begin each class by exploring various meditation practices, this provides an opportunity to stop, to breathe and settle in. Meditations for home practice are 10, 20 or 30 minutes depending on what is manageable for you.
During this programme we explore how to meet the following challenges.
Easing a racing mind
Dealing with stress in a healthy way
Be in the moment rather than ruminating about the past or rushing headlong into the future
Make wise life choices that are aligned with your deepest sense of well-being
Building a healthy relationship with yourself and others
During the body of the class Mindfulness is explored within the context of your everyday activities. Mindful Eating, Mindful Movement, Mindful Communication and more are experienced and explored. These practices are then integrated into your day-to-day routine in a way that is manageable for you. A certain portion of the class each week is dedicated to how the practices are working for you day to day ...and of course we have some fun along the way!!
