Freada has been practicing and researching Calm Body - Calm Mind through Mindfulness, Meditation, Hanna Somatics Movement Education for over 25 years. Her training to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction was with Centre for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society, University of Massachusetts.
Freada works with people from all areas of life to empower them to bring Mindfulness into everyday living, to negotiating challenges in a Mindful and healthy way and to remember joy, calm and ease in the middle of it all. Freada also has a special interest in working with parents and carers who support children and adults suffering with Mental Health difficulties.
Along with delivering her Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Programmes and one to one coaching. Freada also delivers shorter programmes such as Exploring Mindfulness, Mindfulness for Beginners, The Mindful Pathway to Health and Well-Being, The four Principles of Inner Peace and one-day events. She also teaches Hanna Somatics.
As well as her training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Freada also trained in The Mythoself ®Process with Applied Behavioural Technologies, Dramatic Arts, Thomas Hanna Somatic Movement Education.
Somatics fosters a gentle awareness of the body which is key to meditation and mindfulness.
In her early career Freada worked for many years building confidence in children and young adults through her teaching and examining Drama which took her all over Ireland and from which she has many happy memories.
She has worked and trained in Ireland, UK, India, Sweden and USA. Now settled in Co. Wicklow, Freada adheres to the professional guidelines in accordance with the Centre for Mindfulness for good teaching practice with a view to delivering excellence to individuals and participants on her courses and individual sessions.
